Tony Santangelo's published rant (letter to the editor) in The Butner-Creedmoor News was full of a lot of "stuff".

This is the letter a very good friend of mine submitted for publication to The Butner-Creedmoor News in response.

March 31, 2014

To the Editor:

Would like to make a few brief observations on Mr. Santangelo’s “Letter to the Editor” (March 27, 2014):

1)    Mr. Santangelo has a remarkable capacity in his letter to confuse fact with fiction.

2)    Attempting to follow the logic of Mr. Santangelo’s statements is almost as intriguing as following a late-night drunk driver up Hwy 56 – as he swerves from ditch-to-ditch, all over the road – headed for an uncertain destination.

3)    The belated timing of Mr. Santangelo’s remarks on the WWTP reminds one of the “courageous warrior” who arrives on the field of battle – long after the fight is over – and begins attacking the wounded.

4)    The folks on Hester Road and Cannady’s Mill Road would all probably support the construction of a sewer plant in Mr. Sangtangelo’s backyard – without making a “stink”.

Lastly, at the most recent election, the taxpaying citizens of Creedmoor voted strongly against Candidate Santangelo becoming their voice within the Community of Creedmoor.

Tony, perhaps you should take better note of your fellow citizens’ very wise judgment.

It's not surprising to see that the patients are still trying to run the asylum in Greedmore.

Let us know if you need any laborers to help get construction underway with Tony's backyard outhouse; we're all available tocome and help him out.

Yep, we dodged a bullet by voting for T. Santangelo to stay at home. We still have several problems left to clear up at the next election

Glad y'all have got all those signs posted half way up 50 to warn outsiders they are entering an asylum. Full and fair disclosure, hard to miss as you enter the City of Sidewalks and Sewer.

Know Mayor Moss is happy with the Sgwasa deal. He's always been trying "to dump" on Butner.

Thank you for coming back on line with the website. The Mayor and that town manager need to be watched. They aren't that bright and are big spenders of our money. Willing to bet our taxes won't be going down despite the SGWASA bailout.

I say that the 15 million dollars should be given to the citizens as a refund. The Commissioners said we paid for the system and that's why Sgwasa had to cough up the big bucks.

$15 million split between the 2000 Creedmoor water users would be about $7,500 bucks each

MAYOR SEND US OUR MONEY BACK !!! IT AIN"T YOURS TO WASTE!

Darryl, I'll settle for just $7,000, since you're such a good negotiator.

Send me the check I need it to pay my VERY HIGH TAXES in Creedmoor.

Y'all must be on drugs up there. Better put up more warning signs on Hwy 50, "Welcome to Waco!"

You meant wacko and it now happens at least once a month at the Commish meeting. Mayor no longer can lead, can't even agree on minutes, town manager belittles everybody and should have been sent packing from what I hear.

Since we haven't got a movie theater or any other entertainment in C city, come on downtown for the best, live reality show in G county.

Glad you're back too, because sewer isn't the own source of a bad aroma in Creedmoor. There is an "everybody but us is stupid" attitude in town hall.

Keep helping us get that fixed too..

Maybe not, but you don't have to reelect them.

Let's put them out on Hester Road!

Was told that SGWASA tabled their vote on the Creedmoor Proposal. Is that true?

What happened?

SGWASA came to their senses after folks from Stem beat them with the stupid stick.

Got my water bill.. how much longer do we have to pay Darryl's surcharge? The Mayor promised last year that he would lower our bills by $600 a year - ain't happening.

Got the answer for you on the high water bills. Part of the SGWASA deal is that Creedmoor gets to keep a $2million reserve fund set up to maintain the sewer sytem that they will no longer own. That $2 million came out of your pocket and mine through the Darryl tax.

The citizens paid that money, we should get it back rather than spend it for the mayor to traipse all over the country on our nickel.
Don't believe it? Ask to see the mayor's travel spending.

$2 million divided among the 2000 Creedmoor water bill payers would be about $1,000 each. We paid it. It's our money. I need it more than the city does.

Never thought I'd say this but thank goodness for Tom Jackson. He's the one leading the fight on the sale of the sewer system and asking to see the records of the enterprise slush fund.

And from what I've heard the hired help doesn't like to be called to account. That Tom Mercer should be gone for the way he speaks to the elected reps of the people.

The City needs to be exposed. Tom Jackson is trying. Glad folks in Stem have pitched in to help us.
