Taking a look at The Town of Butner’s comment letter on the Creedmoor EA (Environmental Assessment for the sewage plant) today.

“It’s the Town of Butner’s understanding that SGWASA has demonstrated that it has the capacity to treat the City of Creedmoor’s Wastewater needs for the next 20 years while meeting all required NPDES (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System) limits.”

“The Creedmoor WWTP (Waste Water Treatment Plant) will duplicate capacity, will place a burden on taxpayers, and will duplicate cost to our region in the southern part of Granville County.”

Duplicate? Burden? Duplicate?  Lots of “duplicity” from our Creedmoor City Commissioners!

If what you say is true that this sewer plant adds a $1000 bucks to our yearly water bills while Butner can serve us for 20 years at a lower cost, that everybody from surrounding towns/enviros/feds/state/local folks are against it, and that there appears to be some under the table dealings... just cut to the chase and call in the SBI.

Time to call the law !
