Planning Board Member Opposes Plant!

Hi Jean

I'm totally against the Water Treatment Plant.... It is now never going to happen so now stop your obnoxious website and Facebook page. Your signs are polluting our streets.  This fight is over now you need to get over it! It’s sad that the Butner Creedmoor news has to publish you sad half page ad  making a mockery of Thanksgiving. Your turning good work into sour grapes!  Where I live in Creedmoor nothing stinks and I love my home.

Thanks,

Ed Gleason, VP and CTO
Frontline Communications
102 North Main Street
Creedmoor, NC  7522

Ed is a member of Creedmoor's Planning Board.

Hi Ed

There are always armchair critics and Monday morning quarterbacks!  Thanks for your belated support.

But Ed, now that you are publically committed to help lead the fight here are the most important points:

There has been NO public announcement by the City of Creedmoor that the Tar River Waste Money Treatment Plant is off the table and will not be built or pursued by the city.

At a recent Commissioners’ meeting, Creedmoor said there was “no incentive” to join SGWASA. Does the city of Creedmoor need more incentive to do the right thing by the citizens of Creedmoor and Granville County?!

Creedmoor Citizens still are paying $600 a year in overcharges; the schools are still paying $140,000 a year in overcharges for water and sewer to the City of Creedmoor.

All the pieces necessary to pursue the plant are still in play. I’m glad for you that the stench emanating from Creedmoor misses your home, but it’s still quite strong out in the county and especially up Hester Road.

Thanks,

Jean Blaine

Ed's letter reminds me of the saying: "He arived on the field of battle after the danger had passed and began attacking the wounded."

Mr. Gleason, your city government started this fight and they just did not realize that we would fight back!! Freedom of speech is still alive and the signs and advertisements in the B/C News is living proof. You and your city officials do not intimidate me. If your city officials continue to pursue the WWTP...........just stay tuned

Will someone send the Mayor and the Commissioners Ed Gleason's home address (think it's out in Golden Pond subdivision) and let them know that Ed wouldn't mind having the WWTP next door.

Might enlighten Ed on why other folks are making a stink about this stupidity. Believe Ed's neighbors in GP would be interested to learn of his support for a in neighborhood plant, too.

Most thankful today for folks who are still willing to speak out for what's right. It's our Country, it does not belong to special interest politicians whether in Washington, Raleigh, or your ridiculous group of brownshirts in Creedmoor, N.C.

Hang in there, in the recent election the people of Creedmoor sent the "boys" a clear message - "PACK UP"!

Mr. Gleason evidently didn't get the message... you need to keep up the ads until he does.

Understand at the meeting on Tuesday that the Mayor and Commissioners repeated their regular monthly "proclamation" of a willingness to negotiate and that an agreement with SGWASA was imminent. Don't know why these guys don't understand why the rest of us view them as hypocrites.

Mayor stop embarrassing us month after month with this nonsense. What people in Creedmoor think stinks most is your condescension.

No, Mayor we're not all stupid just because we don't agree with your foolishness.

SOS by the Mayor and the Commissioners. So much of it they have to set up a new treatment plant to process it.

We need to start fresh on the SGWASA deal with the new people just elected. This past year's "negotiations" really did stink...somebody was up to no good.

Let's get the underhandedness out in the open, so we can move forward.

On December 9, 2013 at 5:30pm, Ms. Del Mims and Mr. Tom Jackson will be sworn in as City Commissioners. Please take the time to come out and show them your support. A new direction is about to happen. Be a part of it!! The ceremony will be held at City Hall in Creedmoor.
